wood smoke
my loneliness lingers
near the flame
June 2014
winter sky
maybe a bird dies
or doesn't
slow flow sap —
the stillbirth of words
dragging clouds
the loss
of my words
of loss
with clenched teeth
sea-spray lashes apart
the veneer
hermit crab —
the stream of words sidesteps
the obvious
winter beach —
the incoming tide
of horizons
winter beach —
the welcoming walls
of an open grave
winter beach —
an albatross asks
'who moved?'
within it
the page of tundra
yellows too
eyes closed so prolong the night
a chill solace of endless stars
night storm —
nameless trees flash
up the valley
leafless tree
how lifeless the dance
this winter
with these words
fingertipping
the void
this book
yielding the breath
of beyond
the wind
tearing up the eyes
mine beheld
ashen wind —
all the mis-spent words
in my tongue
nature just being its ultimate ontology
this and that consensual haikucide
organo-intellectual compost bins
hear it!
the Lord's Prayer read
from a seashell
twilit beach
in the undertow
of silence
so few words —
the dewfall most acute
in its vanishing
from my pen
an hallucination
of loose ends
at sunset
a sea anemone
sucks in her blush
earth mother:
the you I once knew
now my dream
