June 2015
overturning
a previous incarnation
the office worm
ouch!
the utter silence
of whiteness
moonless night
the dramatic monologue
of a bagworm
behind closed doors
the old prospector sieves
a summer breeze
winter day-moon —
something I once heard
returns to haunt me
winter blues —
the day also
cloudless
spring cleaning —
examining his conscience
the prosecutor
(after a Basho hokku)
hush your mind!
the silence knows
who we are
is this fading darkness
a universe
or a little death?
with cold comfort
the tribbling wood pigeon
lays me to rest
creation chanted out of a kumara
rosary beads
I enter my sixth
decayed
overhead
tattered shoes hang out
for 'p' labs
city glow
fear leaves its own
carbon footprint
forever
in its leaving
a day moon
solstice night —
what does it profit
amid the stars?
dark night
a doleful cow
over the moon
daylight moon —
white-washing the night
with a lie
with dawn
my shadow
my leech
sun-dazzled
the bite of frost —
so what!
breath cloud
beyond the window
I am gone
winter soup;
the sun radiant
within me
night-drenched rain;
each splash has become
this silence
here you are
just as I am imagining
recreating me
all this
just to make real
nothing
wind-born . . .
a lone leaf at last
settles for less
ancient well —
it goes deeper still,
the first cut
plopping sound;
a Japanese wind
ruffles the pond
night-drenched rain;
with sleep silence too
comes to rest
moonless night;
the traces of dreams
between stars
