January 2016
waking dream
my skin prowls my body
in self-awareness
climate change
not always
as good as
a rest
acid rain
I drop a tab
of coolness
first reading
where words lie before
their utterance
Victory Day—
one child asks another
'over what?'
on tenterhooks the bated now
unbidden nature –
is the earth moving
for you too?
by nightfall
our ever-present
unforeseen
in this nothing too
godheads lie hidden
humid haze
air coagulates
in the light
thirty degrees
bees hexangulate
summer heat
humid breeze
rumours of snow drift
from afar
swift bloom
on a summer breeze
the diva shits
in its fullness
the moon drowns
in my son
twilight sky
a word narrows down
my mind's expanse
bowed by heat
I kneel before
a cicada shell
death toll
a bellbird avoids
its refrain
summer expanse
nothing to define it
but my words
more equal
than each other
summer clouds
drip-fed haiku vi a iv tubed nature
foghorns declare the all unclear
way up north
tyranny becomes
the new clear
down fall
everything
I ever knew
with this haiku
all the blank spaces
fit together
polar melt—
a white crossed landscape
to die for
dark moon-rise
a swell of emptiness
in bated chests
this rose alacks incentive
birth silence
a bag of bones cradled
in my arms
slow across a calendar days unnumbered
spring disappears
with the memories I had
of who I was then
