night surf —
face after face
in the music
October 2012
all at sea —
night crawlers mark out
the edge of night
some of the shadow
on the moon
is me
up in the air the edge of a dream
where the smoke from a chimney ends infinity
against a snowy sky raven as a color
clocking into the graveyard shift
blossoms at night,
and the faces of people
moved by music
All Saints Day . . .
my eyes follow the mist
from valley folds
graveyard shift —
moonviewer's faces
cloud over
lighting up
face after face —
dawn chorus
summer dusk —
among other debris,
kittens
twilight stream —
a mayfly's reverie
of grace
oblivious ...
paleolithic clouds
cast their shadows
spring fever —
butterflies blindly haunt
scented gardens
spring breeze —
within a butterfly's wings,
scented gardens
stiffening breeze —
from a butterfly's wings
scented gardens
hidden from view . . .
a nameless river etches
its voice into stone
this river
etches into rock
without a name
on this path,
a mosaic of shadows
meshing dreams
morning mist —
rising out of nowhere
a blackbird's song
from the rock
rising from nowhere
a cool spring
spindrift —
the lingering presence
of cats in love
crow's feet
map out the path —
autumn dusk
road kill —
an oppossum enters
its own shadow
hazy moon —
come to me, hokku,
without words
goose bumps —
the sound of a frog
enters water
nymphéas;
within these depths
I submerge
setting sun —
a tea ceremony
with plastic cups
foggy night —
with scuttling cockroaches
fear gains a sound
